Still fishing off shore.
Starting in 48-22 early AM and trolling out to 50-22 later in the trip.
Still good numbers of 2-3 year old Kings with a mix bag of Cohos Browns and Lakers.
On spoons meat rigs dodgers flasher flies and body baits.
Off of riggers dipsy and leadcore.
Spoons:Stinger (Early AM)ele blueberry,grn fireball,blu wonder bread,later:dlb crush white,carmal dolphin,glo yellow tail,lemon ice.
Meat Rig: Cut herring 13"flasher Blk Mamba,grn froggy,glo yellow tail, Rapture/copper three fly rigs.
Dodgers/Flashers:Pro Troll /O size glo/grn,glo white,smoke,white/blu holo tape.
Flies:Rapture hypnotist,hitman No-See-Um,little bride,last supper.
Body Baits: glo grn fastrack,sil jointed J plug(#4),clown reef runner (all on 8 colors lead).
Riggers: D/F 8'back 37'-50'down,spoons 25'back 10'above the MR,MR 30' back 6'OTB.
Dipsy:80# Power Pro, 3'mono leader #3 setting 160'-185' on the counters.
Leadcore: Courtland 27# test 8 colors,Church walleye boards,80'-100'mono leaders(glow spoons/body baits worked very well early AM).
Some reports that burns ditch and amoco discharge are picking up a few fore year olds the fall run is just around the corner!!
For the glow baits, pick up a good camera flash with extra battery's. This will help charge your baits better then a flash light!
Please when you are running out early in the morning (before sun up) make sure ALL of your boats running lights are on and working properly. And keep them on until a 1/2 hour after sun up. Always remember to keep SAFETY FIRST!!!
