Fishing has been like the weather good and bad!
49-22 still have been my best GPS numbers.
A mix bag of Kings Cohos Steelies Browns and Lakers.
On dodgers flashers flies meat rigs and spoons.
Off of riggers dipsy and leadcore.
Dodgers/Flashers: Pro Troll prochip custom taped/O size glo/grn,grn splatter,white/glo crush tape,white/ blu holo tape,mtn. dew.wonder bread.
Flies:Rapture Oceana,hitman No-See-Um(HOT ON BIG KINGS!!!) hypnotist,last supper,Little white bride.
Meat Rigs: Cut herring, 13" flashers Blk MAMBA!,grn froggy,Rapture/copper three fly rigs(red pepper,glo/grn.
Spoons:MI Stinger Early AM ele.bluberry(hot 8 color lead),blu wonder bread,Napalm,lemon ice,dlb crush white,
rasberry dolphin,deep purple.
Riggers: D/F 8'back 42'56'down,spoons 20'-35'back 10'above the MR. MR 30'back 5'OTB.
Dipsy:80# Power Pro,#3 setting 4'mono leader 175'-195'on the counter.
Leadcore:8 & 10 color lead Church walleye boards (Mag glo spoons early AM HOT!!).
Two tips that we experimented with that worked great.
Off the port side rigger next to the dipsy with the BLK MAMBA MR, we took a Rapture three fly rig (red pepper)with a 36" mono leader and tied on a 3.75" size stinger spoon(deep purple)and ran it clean(no dodger/flasher)
you will need to put on a split ring on the spoon to make it run true this way.
To add a little more action to the meat rigs (only in the early AM).We took a small glo stick 2.5" and attached it behind the meat head just in front of the hook. And used small zip ties to attach the stick to the line instead of tubing. This didn't change the action of the rig. Again this worked very well in the early AM!!
