Fishing in Milwaukee continues to be absolutely incredible with lots of fish and many mixed bag opportunities. Today, the a.m. bite was best in 50 to 80 FOW with the 70’ line producing the best. The first light bite was fast and furious with the Blue Bubble Pro Chip w/ Rapture Last Supper, Green Glow Pro Chip w/ Rapture Hypnotist, White Glow Hot Chip w/ Rapture Little Bride and White Pearl Scale Hot Chip w/ Rapture Oceana doing most of the work on the riggers and wire divers. Once the sun got high, the fish continued to go in shallow with everything coming within 10 of the bottom on the Green Glow Hot Chip w/ Rapture Wild Fern, White Pearl Scale Hot Chip w/ Rapture Oceana and Mtn. Dew Pro Chip w/ Rapture Wild Fern.
This evening the best depths were 90 to 120 FOW. We set up shallow on the same fish we left but they had become more temperamental with only a few small kings and lake trout to show for our efforts. Before the sun started to get low, the Green Glow Hot Chip w/ Rapture Wild Fern and Aqua Howie were hot on the riggers and the Chartreuse/ Chartreuse Scale Jensen Dodger w/ Rapture Wild Fern and Speed Weed on the dipsy’s and lead core took a few. That spread shut down cold by 6 p.m. and it went to all white. The White Glow Hot Chip w/ Rapture Little Bride and Bloody Nose were unstoppable on the riggers. The rest came on the wire divers with the Blue Bubble Pro Chip w/ the Last Supper, White Pro Chip w/ Aqua Howie, and the White Pearl Scale Hot Chip w/ the Oceana.
