Prove It Charters

The fishing in Racine continues to be top rate, recent west winds have pushed the warm water off shore and the salmon have moved to the shallow structure, 35-60 fow has been best. There are still a good number of chinook, cohos and steelies around and a few more brown trout have been rounding out the action as of late, expect the brown fishing to continue to improve this week.

A variety of presentation styles and delivery methods have been working depending on the time of day. At low light, (early in the morning and evening) our custom e-chip flasher/rapture combos have been on fire only being able to run 4 rods-2 riggers and 2 divers. Once the light comes up the flasher combos needed to come off the riggers and down go the spoons and plugs and add some lead. The prochip combos continued to produce off the divers throughout the day though. The top flasher combos have been: Low light - green glow prochip with Rapture Hypnotist, white glow prochip with Rapture Little Bride; Sunny - Chartruese/glow prochip with Rapture Sour Apple; All day- Blue Bubble prochip with Rapture Last Supper. The top spoons have been Low light- Lime tuxedo Stinger, wonderbread glow stingray and green fireball Nitro Series Stingray; sunny - Carmel Dolphin Stingray (thanks for the hot tip Hitman!!), Ludington Special Stingray, Spring Chicken Stingray and Double Orange Crush Magnum, the Double Cracked Ice Proking has been working all day. Plugs also saw some decent water time with the Silver Horde Pearl and Silver Bullet working well.

Had a good weekend funfishing with the 'ol man away from charters, we'll be back to the charters next weekend. Congratulations to John Messina on their 2-in-a-Boat win!

Best of Luck to all this week with Salmon A Rama/Big Fish Bash...last I heard a pair of 22 lb kings were leading the shore and boat divisions.
