Fished NE of the gong,45-15 were my best numbers.
7/2. started out a little slow with the rough seas,
after the lake layed down the bite picked up 8 for 13 Kings & steelies again 3-4 years olds.
7/3. was a great trip with the group landing 12 nice kings, where 8 of them were 3 & 4 year olds a 10# coho and a nice steelie. On dodgers flies spoons and meat rigs.
Off of riggers dipsy and leadcore.
Dodgers/Flashers:Stinger sidekicks,Pro Troll bloody nose,org,sil/glo,custom taped glo froggy,coho org,pearl white/dlb crush white.
Flies:Rapture VIPER,little bride,blue bird,alewife,
jungle.
Spoons:Stinger std & stingray early AM run green fireball,
area 51(neon glo spoons)then later blu/grn bubble(gold blanks)dalamation,wicked wanda,lemon ice.
Meat Rigs:Fish on cut herring strips, 13"flasher glo grn,Black Maba,Rapture three fly
rig.(try to match teaser flys to color of flasher!)
Riggers: DF 8'-12'back 38'-52'down, spoons 25'back 58'down, MR 30' back 6'OTB.(on rigger next to the MR keep spoon 10'above MR hot combo!)
Dipsy:#3setting 4'leader 150'DF & 175'MR on the counter.
Leadcore: 8 & 10 colors on Church walleye boards 100'mono leader on 10 colors & 150' on 8 colors (spoons worked best).
The run out to the numbers above is about 10 miles so please be SAFE watch the weather and enjoy some great off shore action!
