Fishing continues to be hit and miss as we continue through the doldrums of June. After a period of westerly wind and cool water temps, east wind the last few days has set up thermocline down around 40 feet. Fish have been relating tight to key structures holding spawning alewives and cooler water temperatures. Good mixed bag fishing continues with 3 to 4 species being common during each outing; kings and coho’s are making up the bulk of the catches. Flasher/flies have been predominate in taking fish; very few fish going on spoons or plugs. The best flasher/fly combos have been green/glow pro chips or hotchip, red/orange crush pro chips, chrome pro chips and chartreuse/glow pro chips followed by the Rapture Hypnotist and Wild Fern. The best spoon patterns have been the lemon ice and blue dolphin std. stingers.
