After fishing the Grand Haven Tourney last weekend we made it back up to Pentwater for a day on the water. Got the boat in mid morning on sat. and headed for deep water looking for steelhead and lake trout. Nothing but cold water offshore so we headed south to the point where we found a pocket of warmer water inside of 130' that had some fish. Ran mostly leadcore and copper from 10 colors of lead to 400' of copper with stinger and stingray sized stinger spoons. The best colors were lemon ice, caramel dolphin, mixed veggies and corys bait. There was a strong north to south current and the most productive troll was into it or east/west. The fish were in small pockets and when you would get into them it was usually 2 or 3 at a time and usually all on the same side of the boat. We ended up with 10 kings and 2 lake trout before calling it a day. Good luck!
