The "DIVE BOMBS" are hitting the stores shelves! We've used prototypes the past two seasons working the wrinkles out and what an unbelievable tool. If you are unaware of the Dive Bomb, it's our new add- on planing weight. The planing surface at the front of the "DIVE BOMB" compounds the dive curve allowing you to fish deeper without using more weight. It can be attached at any point in your line without retying and will not fray, flatten, kink or otherwise weaken any type of line. We have found it especially effective on our lead core to accomplish a deeper presentation when needed, but "DIVE BOMBS" can be used with copper, wire, and, of course, mono. Even braid will not slip through once attached. Presently available in 1, 2, 3, and 4 ounce sizes, we will soon be introducing a 6oz and 8oz size as well. Actual dive curves are not available at this time, but as soon as studies can be done, Mark Romanack has agreed to include this data in the next edition of Precision Trolling (the bible for controlled depth fishing). For the meantime, we're content with the fact that we can duplicate whatever type of "DIVE BOMB" presentation that is working for us on any given day.
We are sure that as more and more fishermen use "DIVE BOMBS", new uses will emerge. The forum here will be a great place to share that information!

Stinger,
Looks like a pretty slick idea! What holds it to the line? Do you have these in any other colors? I'll give them a try this season.

The dive bomb is attached by placing the line in the curved overhang at the top. After that, you push the rubber tapered stopper into the overhang from the back and that will make your line nice and snug. Also, the Dive Bomb is available in 4 different colors but the colors correspond to the size. 1 ounce is chartreuse, 2 ounce is orange, 3 ounce is green, and 4 ounce is red.

Do you have an opposite side image?

As of right now we don't have an image of the other side. When I get more parts I will get the photos taken and post them on here.

I was at the Grand Rapids Sport RV show on Thursday. I will definately be adding these to my arsenal this year. A 4oz dive bomb attached to a full core will get your bait down 68-75' deep. With this on your full core, you can leave the 15 color set up at home.

Can you let us know what depths the different colors are for?

I think I read it somewhere, but, I can't find it again.
Thanks, Bill.

Samples of the Dive Bombs have been sent in to Mark Romanack to be tested. In the next precision trollers guide the depths will be published. The depths will be published here first when they are known.

I spoke with Terry and Rob at the show about them. The 4oz dive bomb gets and extra 25-30' of depth on a full core.

I was not looking forward to adding 15 color core rods to my arsenal. No one likes to reel in a full core, let alone 15 colors. With a dive bomb, on a full core, I will achieve the same thing, but have a lot less line out. I am anxious to run these on my boat this year.

Hey Mike,

I was suppose to be in Vegas. The plane took off in the AM, flew for 10 minutes, turned around because of bad weather in Chicago, and landed back in Kalamazoo. :( We ended up catching a 5:50PM flight out of Kalamazoo.

I will make a post with pictures of my trip in a day or two after I get caught up.
